"BOYZ" in the bed

"We be the BOYZ," seems to be a commonly heard phrase in our house at the moment. Matt loves his litte man. Tonight I came down the hall to find them lounging in the bed, spending their quality time together. Love them both.

Blackberry picking and a picnic

This weekend was full of fun. On Saturday we went to Eckert's Farm to go blackberry picking. It was a lot of fun. The blackberries were so ripe. They also had peaches for sale. But the picking had just ended. We made an awesome cobbler with them. On Sunday, we went for a walk with the dogs at McNair Park and had a little picnic too. He got his first real feel of the grass and had some good tummy time. He is getting so good at holding his head up high. Before we know it, he will be crawling and walking.

Festival of the Little Hills

On Friday August 21st, we went to the Festival of the Little Hills in St Charles. We ate lots of food that was bad for us (but tasted great), enjoyed good music and ran into a few friends. We even found Brevyn a wooden train set that spelled out his name. Overall, a wonderful night.

Never to soon to bleed ORANGE.

His Aunt Kristen & Uncle Steve got him a Syracuse University shirt. We already know that this kid was born to bleed orange. From one of the pictures, it looks like he already knows how bad the football season is going to be. :)

Bath fun with Daddy

Matt couldn't resist taking some cute photos of the little man after his bath. We love the towels that we got from his Aunt Kristen & Uncle Stevie. They are so soft and colorful. He is just too cute for words.

More of Grandma's visit

Before my mom's visit came to an end, we went to a lot of different places. We did Pappy's Smokehouse for lunch, Gian-Tony's for dinner, and finally Ted Drewes. Mom really enjoyed hugging and kissing her little guy before she had to go. He misses his Grandma Diane already.

"Swimming"

The weather today was perfect. We waited for the sun to go down a little bit and decided it was time to give Brevyn his first "swim lesson." The water was 82 degrees. He loved it! Luckily we didn't have any "Caddyshack" moments in the pool. It seems like he will be a water lover, just like Mommy and Daddy.

Grandma Time

My mom came into town on the 5th. She instantly fell in love with Brevyn (how could you not). He is all pruned from his Grandma's kisses. He spends a lot of his time sleeping on her chest. Matt and I are going to have to check her luggage before she leaves to make sure it's not 9lbs heavier and screaming.

Sitting with his sister

It's been almost 3 weeks that Brevyn has been home. We are glad that family life is starting to settle in and become routine. The dogs were very excited when Brevyn first arrived, but now he is just one of us. So...on Sunday morning, while Mom was catching a few extra zzz's. Daddy let Brevyn play with his big sister Joey. She did really well. Brevyn seemed to like it too. Needless to say, Brevyn got a bath afterwards.

The many faces of Brevyn

Little man makes the best faces. Some of them are just priceless. We love all the outfits that everyone gave him. I especially liked the little "golf" outfit. He looks like he is hugable and ready to hit the links. I'm sure his dad can't wait.

bellybutton and tummy time

Brevyn's bellybutton fell of a day before he turned two weeks old. He cried a little, but soon after forgot it was even there. He likes his tummy time, but only for a little bit. He loves to play and lets you know really fast if you aren't playing enough with him.
