Brevyn's B-Day

Arrived at the hospital at 3:00 pm on 7/13/09, but was sent home due to a false alarm. Contractions picked up that evening and went back to the hospital at 1:00 am to find out June was 7 cm dialated and contractions were coming on strong. Had the epidural put in at 3:00 am and took a little nap until 6:00 am. Watched the beautiful sunrise over the Missouri River from our hospital room and made a few calls to family while waiting for the doctor to arrive and begin pushing.

37 weeks

37 Weeks! Almost there. The little man is doing rolls and having a grand old time. As you can see, I am getting quite big. According to the doctor, he is still growing. SCARY! I was hoping for no stretch marks, but I'm afraid I couldn't avoid the battle scars. I don't have many, just a few small ones. They are well worth it.

His 1st Cardinals Game

Matt, myself and Mr. Brevyn went to a ball game on June 30th. The Cardinals were playing the Giants. We got to see Randy Johnson pitch. Brevyn got to enjoy all the great food and sunshine, via Mommy. We can't wait for him to get here so we can dress him up and take him out to another game.

Last Night Of Class

Matt & I took a childbirth class. I was very informative. All the info we would need to make it through labor & delivery, and taking care of Brevyn. As part of the last night of class...all the dads had to wear a sympathy belly. TOO FUNNY! They were asked to tie their shoes, sit on the floor and then stand up. They didn't like the extra 35lbs hanging on them! We had a wonderful time.

28 weeks

Mom took a few photos of me at 28 weeks. I'm getting bigger by the day. Who knows, this big at 28 weeks....I don't even want to know what I will look like at 38 weeks!

Shower & Gifts

We are so blessed to have wonderful family & friends. On May 2, 2009 my mom gave me a wonderful baby shower. Lots of family & friends were there to celebrate Brevyn. We ate good food, enjoyed good company and played fun games. The going bet is that Brevyn will be a 10lbs baby! Thank you to everyone for our lovely gifts. We know Brevyn will enjoy all of them.

The Nursery

Well, the nesting has begun. We have been hard at work with Brevyn's room. The nursery has the colors sage, baby blue and tan. The furniture is a natural wood tone. We also added the wonderful blanket that Matt's Grandma knitted for us.

More than half way there.

23 weeks! I just keep getting bigger. The doctor says everything is right on track. He is kicking all the time. ALL THE TIME! Pretty soon I won't be able to see my feet anymore. But, it is all worth it.

The belly gets bigger...

Well, there is no denying it. I'm pregnant! We decided to take the first belly pictures at 16 weeks. No more non-maternity clothes for me.
