Sweet New Ride

So the big guy is 6 months old now and is on the move. For Christmas he got his "sweet ride." He is still learning how to push it with his feet, but he really loves sitting on it and playing with the toys. Needless to say, he is a reckless driver. I guess he is just trying to prepare us for when he gets his learner's permit.

"Yummy" Food

Mr. Brevyn is such a big boy now. He got his first tooth and we started rice cereal this week. At first the taste didn't appeal to him, but now he eats it like it's going out of style. Being "independent," he tried to "help" feed himself. This however simply resulted in making a bigger mess, and that stuff is sticky! He is doing great so far.

Taylor Family

During our fantastic trip Brevyn got to meet some of the Taylor Family. He seems to be the life of the party. Aunt Jenny rocked him to sleep in his new blanket. We have now dubbed it the "Magic Blankie" because it only takes about 2 minutes for him to fall asleep with that thing. We had such a great time and can't wait for him to meet the rest of the clan.

Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament

As part of our visit to NY we went to see Matt's cousin Erik play basketball. He plays for the Chittenango Bears. They were playing against Bishop Grimes in a Coaches vs. Cancer tournament. Everyone was cheering Erik and his team on. In the end Brevyn was pooped and unfortunately Bishop Grimes won.

Brevyn's 1st Playdate

The day after Christmas we went to see our extended family. Brevyn and Cooper Kohanski got to have their first play date (the first of many.) They didn't quite know what to make of each other at first. Then they hugged, looked at crazy puppies and laughed. I think they even told each other a few secrets.

Christmas 2009

We spent Brevyn's 1st Christmas in Syracuse. We started off at Matt's family. Everyone enjoyed all the food and desserts. Brevyn however, decided that he would rather spend the day napping with Aunt Jill. Next, we went to my mom's family Christmas. Brevyn, Natalia and Joshua made out like bandits. Natalia kept telling everyone how "soft" Brevyn was. Too cute. Brevyn got a jumperoo and it by far has been his favorite thing. Brevyn's 1st Christmas was a memorable one (even if only Matt and I will be the ones that remember.)

Christmas Eve 2009

We spent Christmas Eve with my dad and brother Danny. It was great. We opened presents, enjoyed "It's a Wonderful Life", had a little fruity goodness and relaxed before heading out the next day. Everyone loved their presents from "Santa." Grandpa Jim got Brevyn a HUGE penguin that he loved. Uncle Danny couldn't get enough of his nephew.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Carbery

Christmas 2009 was started off with a visit to Brevyn's Great Grandparents House. It was so wonderful spending time with them. Of course Grandma went all out and made us a wonderful lunch. The best part was seeing the connection between Brevyn and Grandpa. Grandpa just lighted up with Brevyn. It was the most wonderful Christmas present.
